Most girls and women desire long, luxurious hair. Sometimes after a bad
haircut, or when a toddler has had one second of unsupervised time and
scissors, you'll want to grow it out fast. Whatever the reason, some
good methods will make your hair grow really fast.

Get your hair trimmed to get rid of any split ends. If your hair is layered, have it cut so it is all one length. Getting rid of split ends will make your hair healthier and stronger, and that means hair that will grow really fast.

Increase blood flow to your head to stimulate your hair follicles. Lean forward with your head down and use a boar bristle brush, brushing from root to tip. Brush your hair like this once a day. You can increase blood flow with daily exercise and by massaging (while you're shampooing) the scalp with your fingernails.

Eat a healthy diet including a daily multivitamin. Only healthy hair can grow fast. Hair uses vitamins A, B, C and E, as well as the minerals iron and zinc. Add some foods rich in these minerals and vitamins such as red meat, fish, broccoli, apricots, spinach, potatoes, tomatoes, bananas, melons, citrus, nuts and whole grains.
Relax with daily meditation. When you are stressed your hair will not
grow fast. Meditate every day for at least 30 minutes a day or longer.
Sleep well. A good night's sleep isn't just about getting enough
sleep, it's also about getting quality sleep. Most people can function
well off of seven to 10 hours of sleep a night. Your perfect sleep time
is somewhere around there and you'll feel the difference when you get
too little or too much sleep. To increase the quality of your sleep,
keep a routine. Go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at
the same time every morning, even on the weekends.
Stay clean. Shampoo your hair at least every other day to keep your
scalp and roots from getting oily and dirty. Clean hair will grow faster
than oily hair. Use some soap and warm water to wash your hair brushes
at least once a month. Staying clean also means not using hair products
such as hairsprays, gels and mousses.
Avoid hair dryers, curling irons, straightening irons, hair dye and
perms. Any unnecessary heat or chemicals in your hair is not healthy.
Use a weekly oil treatment for your hair if it is really dry. If you
have normal hair you can use an oil treatment once a month. If your hair
is a little oily you can just use this treatment once every three
months. An oil treatment will help keep your hair healthy, shiny and
strong. Leave it in overnight with a scarf or nightcap on.
